Family Promise of Sussex County has built a reputation for providing shelter, food, and hope for families facing homelessness. Now, we must address a homeless epidemic during a viral pandemic. As COVID-19 presents unprecedented social and economic challenges, low-income families in this country are some of the hardest hit. The health pandemic is a moving target, and we continue to work closely with the National Family Promise office as the situation develops to ensure families are as secure and healthy as possible in these unprecedented times. But one thing remains constant:

The inherent nature of FPSC’s work unites our communities to help vulnerable families regain independence. But the health pandemic has introduced an unexpected level of insecurity and alarm for these families. We have initiated a COVID-19 national disaster relief fund to ensure we remain responsive to families’ emerging needs related to the coronavirus and its impact in our communities, and that adequate resources continue to be available. This campaign will run from March 25, 2020 to April 1, 2020.
